The Children’s Home in Ghana needs new beds to sleep in - we need your help 🌼

Some of you already know this, but I wanted to share it with all of you from the heart.

This summer, between June 20 and July 5, I’m traveling to Ghana to volunteer at a children’s home and school in Gomoa Tarkwa. Around 40 children live there, aged 2 to 18, and for different reasons, they don’t have their parents with them anymore.

Through a Swedish non-profit called “Children’s Home,” run by a wonderful mother and daughter, I’ve been given the opportunity to go there and support their work. They’ve created something truly meaningful—a place where children can feel safe, have a bed to sleep in, go to school, play, and simply be children.

I want to contribute in a very concrete way while I’m there.

Right now, there is a real need for:

• 40 mattresses (around 600 SEK / 60 USD each) – purchased locally

• 80 bed sheets (around 100 SEK / 10 USD each) – I will bring some and also buy locally

• Toys – crayons, pens, drawing pads, skipping ropes, footballs, small toys, etc. (I’ll bring what I can from Stockholm)

If you feel called to support, I’ve created a GoFundMe page where you can contribute—every little bit truly makes a difference and goes directly to these children and their everyday wellbeing:

If you’re in Sweden and prefer Swish, you can also reach out to me directly (jennybcastro@me.com / 076-6084879 mark it “Ghana”)

I’ll be sharing updates along the way so you can follow what we’re creating together on the ground.

Thank you for being part of this, in whatever way feels right for you. It really means a lot. 💛

With love,

Jenny
