For Ghana 13/6: A Donation-based Class of Yoga & Healing

Home in Yoga Hosts Donation-Based Class to Support Children's Home in Ghana

Founder Jenny Berglund Castro to Travel to Ghana One Week After the Event to Volunteer at the Orphanage and Local School

Stockholm — May 20, 2026 — Home in Yoga is pleased to announce a special donation-based yoga class on Saturday, June 13th, held in support of a children's home in Gomoa Tarkwa, Ghana. All proceeds will go directly toward purchasing new mattresses and bed sheets for the 40 children — ages 2 to 18 — who call the orphanage their home.

The event is open to all levels and offers a meaningful way to practice yoga while making a tangible difference in the lives of children across the world.

How to Contribute

Participants are welcome to give what they can. The goal is to raise 32 000 kr to buy mattresses and sheets. Donations can be made in two ways:

• Swish at the studio on the day of the class (min 500 kr, but anything above that is welcome!)

• Donate online via GoFundMe: gofundme.com/f/mattresses-sheets-childrens-home-in-gomoa-tarkwa-ghana

Every contribution, large or small, brings the children one step closer to a better night's sleep.

About the Mission

One week after the class, on June 20th, Home in Yoga founder and yoga teacher Jenny Berglund Castro will depart for Ghana, where she will spend two weeks as a volunteer at the orphanage and the nearby school. The June 13th class is Jenny's way of bringing her community together before she leaves — and of channeling the collective energy of yoga into something that reaches far beyond the mat.

Jenny will gladly accept toys such as coloring books, crayons, pearls, thread to bring down with her.

“This class is a chance for us to practice with purpose. The children at this home deserve comfort and care, and I want to carry the support of this community with me when I go.”— Jenny Berglund Castro, Founder, Home in Yoga
